Crank

Skewered by the blind, their spit in his face

Caught between brimstone and a fiery place

Spinning out of control, his life a rotisserie

As the deaf turn the crank and heed no apology

All that remains are the dreams while he sleeps

Where the fire forgives him as upon it he weeps
