sensory deprivation

hears the
whispered words
in the melody of

raindrops, smells
the jasmine locks
on an imaginary

breeze, holds
the phantom hand
without the warmth

returned, tastes
the fallen memories
from once adoring

eyes, sees
the absent soul
now hidden from
forever’s gaze
